Rotarian Jake Diviney recently provided what we call “a classification talk,” meaning he spoke about his background, what he does for work and fun, and how he came to join Rotary.
Jake, an Altoona native, is an attorney and owner of Diviney & Wilt, a law firm based in Huntingdon.
“My tie to Huntingdon is through a hunting club,” Jake explained of how he met Rotarian and fellow attorney Scot Gill and former club member Huntingdon County Judge Ray Ghaner.
Jake graduated from Juniata College, where he served as captain of the football team, before earning his law degree from Ohio Northern University. Following law school, Jake practiced at McQuaide Blasko in Hollidaysburg and later with Cozen O'Connor in downtown Pittsburgh. In 2024, he returned to central Pennsylvania to join the Huntingdon law firm of Gill, McManamon & Ghaner. Following Judge Ghaner's appointment to the bench, Jake assumed ownership of the practice in 2025. In 2026, he welcomed attorney Ethan Wilt as his law partner, forming Diviney & Wilt.
“I did the whole ‘big law’ thing, and I liked it, but I missed the small-town feel,” Jake says. “There wasn’t as much tie to the community.”
Jake’s practice focuses on estate planning and civil law. He says he most enjoys legal work that benefits struggling families. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, competing in triathalons and serving his community!

Diviney & Wilt was proud to support the 2026 Huntingdon County Junior Livestock Sale and the incredible work of our local 4-H and FFA youth!

We were especially proud to partner with Dustin Schrack Realtor of Schrack Realty in purchasing Zane Steinmeier’s Reserve Grand Champion Market Steer.

We were also pleased to purchase Charlee Smith’s market hog and Tessa Espy’s goat.

We’re proud to support these young people and recognize the hard work and dedication they put into raising and showing their animals. We’re already looking forward to next year!

We wish everyone a safe, happy, and relaxing Fourth of July weekend as we celebrate the freedoms that make our country so special.

Congratulations to our own Jake Diviney on his induction into the Rotary Club of Huntingdon! We are proud to see Jake continue his commitment to serving the Huntingdon County community both inside and outside the practice of law. It was especially meaningful to see Scot Gill, whose years with the firm helped shape its legacy, participate in the induction as Jake’s Rotary mentor.

We're very happy to welcome our newest club member, Jake Diviney (second from right), who was inducted into Rotary Club of Huntingdon at our June 30 meeting at Huntingdon Country Club! Jake is an attorney and owner the Diviney & Wilt law firm in Huntingdon. A native of Altoona, he graduated from Juniata College, where he served as captain of the football team, before earning his law degree from Ohio Northern University.
Jake's practice focuses on estate planning and administration, real estate, business law, civil litigation, and municipal law. He also serves as Solicitor for Huntingdon County Children and Youth Services, Mifflin County Children and Youth Services, and several municipalities throughout the region. In addition, he serves as an adjunct professor at Juniata College, teaching Business Law.

Jake resides in Altoona with his fiancé, Maddy. Outside of work, he enjoys hunting, fishing, training for and competing in triathlon type events, and spending time outdoors throughout Central Pennsylvania. He is excited to become involved with Rotary and looks forward to serving the Huntingdon County community both professionally and through Rotary's commitment to service above self. Welcome Jake!

We are excited to share that beginning tomorrow, Gill, McManamon & Diviney will move forward under a new name: Diviney & Wilt.

This transition marks an exciting new chapter as Ethan Wilt joins the firm as a Partner with Jake Diviney. A familiar face returning to the region, Ethan previously served as First Assistant District Attorney of Huntingdon County and brings extensive courtroom and litigation experience. With Ethan’s addition, we are expanding our services to include criminal defense, employment law, and personal injury representation, while continuing our longstanding work in estate planning and administration, real estate, business law, and civil litigation.

While the name is changing, our mission remains the same: providing trusted legal guidance to the Huntingdon County and Central Pennsylvania community. We are grateful for the continued support of our clients and colleagues and look forward to serving the region together for many years to come.
