For nearly 9 years, we have enjoyed serving the community of Huntingdon and nearby. It’s bittersweet to announce that we have accepted an opportunity that will now take us to North Carolina for new adventures. At this time, we are no longer taking on new matters, and we will be working over the next few months to resolve current matters and transfer cases to new counsel. If you are a current client of the firm with an active case, we will continue to handle your matter until it is resolved OR until we are able to transfer it to a new attorney - we will be in touch over the next several weeks to discuss your specific situation. If we were appointed by the court in your matter, you may receive communication directly from the court when a new attorney is appointed. If you are a client of the firm who has an inactive matter, you can expect to receive an email and/or letter from us by the end of September. If you have not heard from us by September 30, please feel free to reach out. We thank you for your support and patronage over the years, and appreciate the relationships we have developed with the many professionals in the community through our work. We also are incredibly thankful for our excellent employees and interns who have worked with us throughout the years. Again, thank you all!

Last week Chris was honored with a Paul Harris Fellowship Award from the Huntingdon Rotary Club!

It was a great day to be a Rotarian last week as we honored fourteen individuals with the Paul Harris Fellowship Award.

The Paul Harris Fellowship Award is one of the highest honors Rotary can bestow upon a person. Recipients are Rotarians and community members, in recognition of their outstanding contributions, exemplifying the highest ideal in Rotary in placing “SERVICE ABOVE SELF.” This honor accompanies a donation of $1,000 or more, in the recipient’s name, to Rotary International’s “Annual Program Fund,” which supports Rotary’s world-wide programs.

Community members who received this award were: Front Row Darla White, Michelle Rupert, Amy Yocum and Riley Hopkins. Back Row Jay White, Chris Wencker, and John Eastman.

John Eastman and Chris Wencker, received their Paul Harris Award for there heroic response to the devastating house explosion last year involving Michele Shovlin.

The Rotarians who received Paul Harris awards were from left to right, Shannon Winstead, Jim Reeves, John Eastman, Colleen McCloskey, Cheryl Shope, and Matt Price

Michele Shovlin also attended the meeting to thank John Eastman and Chris Wencker
