Today, Ryan MacLeod and Brett Hargis obtained a $3,000,000 verdict against Walmart on behalf of a client who was hit in the head by an overhead door that was improperly raised by a Walmart employee.
Our client suffered a mild concussion and neck injury that ultimately required surgery.
Walmart’s top settlement offer was $250,000. During jury selection, Walmart suggested that our client’s case was worth $0.
At trial, Walmart argued that it had no responsibility for causing our client’s injuries. And even if the jury found Walmart responsible, Walmart argued that the damages were worth no more than $300,000.
The jury heard the evidence and reached a different conclusion, returning a $3 million verdict for our client.
