Detained by ICE? Knowing what to do next matters.

Your options can depend on your immigration history, prior orders, and type of proceedings. If a loved one is detained, gather their **A-number and detention information** and speak with an experienced immigration attorney as soon as possible.

If your immigration case depends on your child as a qualifying relative, **their 21st birthday could matter more than you realize.**

In certain cases, aging out can affect eligibility for immigration relief. If your child is approaching 21 and your case is still pending, speak with an immigration attorney about how it could impact your case.

💐 Nine years of hard work, patience, and perseverance—and finally, an approval.

This client trusted Powers Law Group with their asylum case in 2017. After nearly nine years of preparation, advocacy, and persistence, their asylum case was officially approved in July 2026. ❤️

They recently stopped by with flowers for Ruby—a beautiful reminder of the people and stories behind the work we do every day.

We’re grateful to have stood by this client throughout such a long journey and to now celebrate this well-deserved new chapter together.

Congratulations on your asylum approval! 💐🇺🇸
