I finally ran a half-marathon 🏃🏽‍♀️💪🏾 I will tell you this: it was among 5 things hardest things I have ever done😭in my life! It tested everything in me: resilience, endurance, my legs😆 my abs, my feet. But in the end my mind took over and said you will finish Claudine!

I have had this goal to run 🏃🏽‍♀️ a half-marathon for 6 years but so much happened including health problems: surgeries, cancer scare and covid!

This year I said I will do it even if it takes me hours to get to the finish line.

I was very emotional 😭 when I did actually reach the finish line. It took me a minute to actually celebrate this great achievement.

Moral of the story: keep pushing, have confidence that you will indeed achieve what you put your mind to.

Lastly, who would have thought that at 43 I would run a half-marathon when in my twenties I didn’t even run 3 miles 🤩🤩💪🏾💪🏾

Who wants to learn more about the H-2B program and who wants to ask their congress representative to act and add countries who actually have people fill the jobs in the U. But can’t because their countries do not benefit from the H-2B program

It is time perhaps Congress added more countries to the H-2B Temporary Non-Agriculture Workers Program. If there is a labor shortage in France or Germany, those two countries do not need to hold spaces in the U.S. H-2B program when nationals from say Rwanda or Cameroon would gladly fill the jobs needed in diverse industries! Also the H-2B process should be steam lined and less cumbersome to U.S. employers.

The US added more than half a million jobs in July, yet Fareed notes labor is still in short supply — and suggests a solution.
