The Federal government has recently handed down guidance that it no longer intends to enforce the Fair Housing Act as it pertains to Emotion Support Animals as it had in the past. Previous administrations gave tenants lots of latitude when it came to Emotional support animals, but it appears that, on a federal level anyway, that has come to an end. What does it mean for local landlords in individual states? That's probably more complicated.
