🚨 Visa revocation plan announced: B-1/B-2 visa holders who sought asylum may be affected.

The U.S. government has reportedly confirmed plans to review certain B-1/B-2 visitor visas issued between 2016 and 2026 to individuals who later applied for asylum.

⚠️ Important: A review does NOT mean every affected visa has already been revoked. The revocations are not yet final, and individual circumstances matter.

For immigrants who may be affected, this is a development worth watching closely, especially if you have upcoming international travel plans or questions about your current immigration status.

✈️ Before making travel decisions, understand how a potential visa revocation could affect your specific situation.

⚠️ Missed your asylum interview? The clock matters.

If you miss a USCIS asylum interview, acting quickly may be critical. A request to reschedule should generally be made before the interview or within 10 calendar days after the missed interview.

But there’s another important deadline applicants should understand: 46 days after the missed interview.

If you have not established exceptional circumstances, USCIS may then:

🔹 Dismiss your asylum application if you are maintaining lawful immigration status.

🔹 Refer your asylum application to an immigration judge if you are not maintaining lawful status.

Importantly, simply missing the 10-day rescheduling window does not by itself trigger dismissal or referral. The 46-day timeline is the key distinction.

Immigration deadlines can have serious consequences. If you missed an asylum interview or believe you may need to reschedule, seek legal guidance as soon as possible.

🔷Immigration Myth vs. Fact🔷

MYTH: “My relative is a U.S. citizen, so my immigration case is guaranteed.”

FACT: A qualifying family relationship may provide a path to immigration benefits, but approval is never automatic.

Eligibility, admissibility, immigration history, documentation, and timing can all affect a case. Every family’s circumstances are different.

Before assuming you qualify, understand the path that applies to your family.

Advance Parole Rules Just Changed*

⚠️ Planning to travel with Advance Parole? Know the risk before you leave.

A major BIA decision has changed how certain Advance Parole travel may be treated for people who previously accumulated unlawful presence. For some travelers, leaving the U.S. may now trigger the **10-year unlawful-presence bar.**

Before making international travel plans, have your immigration history reviewed carefully.

⚠️ BIA Update

Recent BIA decisions highlight how procedural rules can leave immigrants with limited time and limited opportunities to correct a case. In some circumstances, the time to obtain counsel may be short, and motions to reopen are generally restricted.

When the stakes include remaining in the United States, waiting can cost you important options. Early legal preparation matters.
