Before I post this, I want to make it clear that I am NOT insinuating that any member of 18-East DTF or associated agencies have done anything that is presented in this hypothetical. I would also like to make it known that I am quite fond of sarcasm and facetiousness.

Hypo: A suspect arrested for m**h possession is pressured by DTF to make controlled fentanyl purchases in exchange for possible leniency. The suspect has been clean from fentanyl for a year and warns that reentering that environment could trigger a relapse of the deadly drug.

Do you consider this morally or ethically proper?

My office is closed indefintiely until further notice. The number listed below will remain active for a brief period. My apologies to anyone considering my services. And deep apologies to my current clients as you wade through this mess that I created. I am working to help with access to counsel for those current clients.

And my sincere and deepest apologies to the attorneys that have become my closest friends, the judges that I have been before, admired and respected, especially those that I worked with prior to them taking the bench. I've brought shame, ridicule, and embarassment to the profession that I love so much. A profession I knew I wanted to be a part of since I was 12 years old.

And to my family and friends, I'm sorry. I'm sorry for the gossip, whispers, social media vultures, and questions you're facing because of my actions.

My biggest regret is that I can't apologize to my father. In the 31 years that he's been gone, I've wanted him here every single day. That is, except for the last 3 weeks. I'm relieved that he is no longer on this Earth to see what I have done to my family, my reputation, my career and my life as a whole. As forgiving as he was, this would simply be too much. The damage is beyond repair.

If I return to the practice of law, I will certainly update this page and provide new contact information.

At first, I was hesitant to repost this because then I'd have to acknowledge how long I've been doing this myself. Needless to say, I've known Lt. Wolf for a long time.

He exemplifies what I would want all law enforcement officers to be. With the general public, he is approachable and courteous. But when a situation arises, he is prepared and authoritative. And above all else, he is a professional, by every definition of the word.

And this county should be damn proud to have him, and I hope we have him for a few more years. Congratulations, Lieutenant!

Sheriff McCormick and Chief Elrod were pleased to honor Lt. David Wolf with a plaque recognizing his 35th year of service with the Garland County Sheriff's Office!

I’d like to give a sincere thank you to Garland County Circuit Clerk Kristie Womble-Hughes and Deputy Clerk Melissa for their help over this past Thursday and Friday.

As I worked through filing a civil pleading outside my usual experience, they were consistently patient, responsive, and incredibly helpful. Melissa, in particular, took the time to answer every call and walk me through each issue—even when the answer turned out to be simpler than I expected.

Their professionalism and willingness to help did not go unnoticed. Garland County is fortunate to have them.

It find there's quite interesting. A federal judge recently ruled that the State of Arkansas is denying parolees due process and right to counsel in the way they handle parole violations and parole violation hearings. While there is more to it than what I'm mentioning, some of the key points is that there is not a preliminary hearing to essentially find cause to keep the parolee detained.

I have a client currently in custody awaiting a parole hearing. Because of this federal ruling, that essentially tells the State of Arkansas to provide due process and counsel to parolees during the proceedings, the State's temporary solution is to have no further hearings on ANY parolee, regardless of whether they have counsel. They just sit jail...indefinitely.

Does this make sense to anyone? If so, please respond and elaborate.
