s. Elsa Seidel graduated from the University of Virginia in 1984 with a BA in Psychology. She worked for four years as a counselor at a residential treatment program for teenage boys, in Charlottesville, Virginia. She then followed in the footsteps of her father, an attorney, and attended law school. She graduated from T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond in May of 1991. During her years in law school, Elsa Seidel clerked for several experienced criminal defense attorneys. Elsa Seidel Legal Career
She began her career in law as a legal prosecutor, an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney, in the City of Petersburg Virginia. She then became the attorney for the Petersburg Bureau of Police. In January of 1994, Elsa Seidel became the Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Colonial Heights Virginia. She worked there for ten years prosecuting all cases in all three courts: Juvenile and Domestic Relations, General District, and Circuit. She handled traffic and criminal law cases such as murder, DUIs, reckless driving, shoplifting, domestic violence, and drug cases. In 2004, Elsa Seidel opened her own practice similar to her present practice. During that four-year period, she defended every type of case from murder to reckless driving to show causes. During the election of 2007, her friend Lisa Caruso, won her race for Commonwealth’s Attorney of Dinwiddie County. Lisa Caruso asked Elsa Seidel to join her office and help her ensure that the office was in good hands. Elsa worked in Dinwiddie for 7 years, leaving shortly after Ms. After working in the Henrico County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s office for just over a year, Elsa decided to return to private practice. While she really enjoyed the prosecution of criminal cases, she missed the ability to really help people in need on a more personal level. Also, as Elsa lives in Prince George County, she wanted to be a part of the professional community in this area and be closer to home and her family. She believes that she can provide a much needed service to this area with her experience. She is committed to seeing each client’s case through to its conclusion and gives personal attention at every step of the process. She is dedicated to her clients and works hard to help each one achieve the best possible result.
