Sometimes you have to check on your neighbors just to say hi! You never know what they are experiencing. Did that today and we found out that our neighbors spouse passed away and she had been dealing with a lot. We had to get her something to cheer her up.

Home Owners Association or HOA's are great for some or not at all. Many love them because some of them keep up with the standards to ensure the value stays up on their properties. Some of them require little to no maintenance at all and then you have some who are nit picky about every little thing. It is not a one size fits all when it comes to HOA's so it is very important that you look at the bi-laws of the subdivision or development before you buy because I would hate for you to end up in a situation where you want a pool or an extension to a patio or any other addition and the rules tell you NO! Trust me it does happen. 😒
