Far too many couples that I come in contact with, whether it be for estate planning or ending their marriage, have one partner who handles all the money. That person pays all the bills and knows where everything is located. The other person knows nothing. While it is common to have one person pay all the bills, it is important for BOTH parties to know what bills exist, how much is paid each month, access to all online accounts and any other information necessary should they one day have to take over on their own!!!
