🏡 The Biggest Mistake I See First-Time Buyers Make
Many first-time buyers focus on finding the perfect home instead of preparing to buy one. Here's what I recommend instead:
✔️ Get pre-approved before you start house hunting.
✔️ Know what monthly payment fits your budget—not just the maximum you qualify for.
✔️ Separate your must-haves from your nice-to-haves.
✔️ Separate your features from your benefits. The feature is what you see, the benefit is how it affects how you live in the home.
✔️ Budget for closing costs, moving expenses, and future maintenance.
✔️ Don't let small cosmetic flaws distract you from a home's long-term potential.
✔️ Be ready to act quickly when the right home comes on the market.
✔️ Have a strategy in place before you start seriously looking and writing offers.
✔️ Work with an experienced agent who can guide you through every step.
Buying your first home is a big milestone, but it doesn't have to be overwhelming. A little preparation goes a long way.
