Did you know that if you've been charged with a crime that was dismissed, you can have the details expunged from your record with no court fee? Although no one should hold against you a dismissed charge, it is better to have it completely erased so that questions don't arise as to why you were arrested and/or charged with something.

Reminder to everyone about the new "hands-free law" with cell phones in Tennessee as of July 1, 2019. It is a misdemeanor to have your phone in your hand while driving, and citations have already been given out, which require going to court.

Did you know that it is very important to make sure your child has legal counsel to represent him or her when charged with a juvenile offense? Juvenile convictions can prevent someone from getting into the military, some schools, etc. Juvenile drug convictions prevent a student from being able to get financial aid or federal student loans... I have seen many juveniles just plead guilty to a charge without a lawyer that might have been worked out another way.
