Why is hiring a professional real estate agent important? How does an agent get the home under contract within several days? Why must we communicate with one another as professional real estate agents? Should we just allow people to sell real estate on their own without a REALTOR®?

Hiring a professional real estate agent gives the consumer access to valuable information and insight to the market they are about to enter into. Building a trusting relationship takes time, energy, effort, and a proven track record. When hiring a professional, do your due diligence and make an informed decision. Homes do not just enter the market and instantly go under contract. The process takes weeks and sometimes months to be ready for market. Hiring a professional makes sure you are putting your best foot forward to take advantage of the current market conditions. Your trusted real estate professional goes over all the options to best fit your needs as the client. Real estate agents must communicate with one another to be able to best represent their client. A seller usually wants the most money (net) and the buyer usually wants the lowest price (deal/bargain). There are many other terms and factors to get a "meeting of the minds" and move forward with an acceptable agreement. By communicating with our fellow real estate professionals, we are able to gather information and share with our clients. This gives us the opportunity to construct an acceptable agreement for all parties. Allowing the general public to handle real estate on their own is already possible (not recommended).
