Our monthly Transgender and Non-binary, peer-led support group for ages 18+ occurs every first Thursday of the month from 7:00pm-8:30pm! (online) (Please arrive on time, as we share important group guidelines in the beginning of the meeting.)
Our monthly, peer support groups strive to be a safe and brave space for members of our communities to be accepted and affirmed exactly as they are. You are not alone! Feel free to email [email protected] with any questions, or to chat with a facilitator prior to joining!

🎉Wishing everyone a happy Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month! We celebrate the rich culture, contributions, and vibrant history of the AANHPI community in the United States.

✨✨As AANHPI Heritage Month comes to its end of celebration, The Welcome Project PA stands with you and spotlights a book in our library. Constellating Home: Trans and Q***r Asian American Rhetorics explores how race, migration, gender, and disability entwine in conceptions of deserving citizens. V. Jo Hsu explores three archives of trans and q***r Asian American (QTAPI) rhetorics, considering a range of texts including oral histories, photography, personal essays, and performance showcases. To demonstrate how QTAPI use personal narrative to critique and revise the conditions of their exclusion, Hsu forwards a critical approach to storytelling, homing, which deliberately engages sites of alienation and belonging. Through a practice of diasporic listening, Hsu tracks confluences among seemingly divergent journeys and locates trans and q***r Asian American experiences within broader US and global politics.

❤️‍🔥Together, we will continue widening the welcome and working towards the day when everyone can live with dignity, safety and opportunity.

“Founded in 1975 in Philadelphia, ANNA Crusis Feminist Choir is the United States’ longest-running feminist choir. Directed by Miriam Davidson,our full group of 80 sopranos and altos performs two of our own concerts annually, along with a joint concert with Philly’s other LGBT choirs&the Philadelphia Orchestra. ANNA Crusis sings music that celebrates feminist themes, including the strength, resilience, and solidarity of the LGBT community and other marginalized communities.

We’re proud to be a beneficiary of the Elton John Impact Awards – a powerful new platform celebrating the icons, legends and trailblazers shaping a more inclusive world in support of the LGBTQ+ community. 🌈
 
Because of this support and visibility from the Elton John Impact Awards, Procter & Gamble and The Looking Out Foundation, we are able to advance our critical work at The Welcome Project PA – including our 👀7 monthly LGBT+ Support Groups and a ✨new parents group, as well as our 🌈🙌💜annual Bucks-Mont Pride Festival, coming up this June 28th, noon-5pm.  
 
This year’s honorees – including Jonathan Bailey, Laverne Cox, Melissa Etheridge, Billie Jean King, Orville Peck and Chappell Roan – have driven change, shaped culture and made a positive impact on society. Together, we celebrate their contributions while continuing the work to build a more equal future for LGBTQ+ communities everywhere.

👀🚨Watch this compilation clip from our Author Conversation with Dr. Lucas F.W. Wilson, as he discusses his book, Shame-Sex Attraction: Survivors’ Stories of Conversion Therapy.

💜 We thank Dr. Wilson and the people from the community who participated in this important conversation about the harmful effects of conversion therapy.
✨May we continue expose conversion practices as pseudo-scientific, bogus, ineffective, and traumatic. And may we listen to survivors and their stories, and may we work together in our faith communities and beyond to ensure that this harmful practice does not continue in the future.

We are an all-volunteer Cheerleading Organization compromised of LGBTQ+ and ally adults (18+). Through cheerleading, we fundraise, bring awareness, and donate to organizations supporting the LGBTQ+ community to achieve equality and awareness for the LGBTQ+ community in the Greater Philadelphia area.
