"The Senate bill funds 30 new teams of immigration judges and provides $145 million to the Defense Department, neither of which the House bill funds. The House also doesn’t provide new money for enforcement personnel for Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Neither bill funds new detention beds at ICE, an earlier demand from Democrats.

Still, most of the money in both versions of the legislation goes toward fulfilling basic needs like food, shelter and medical care for people fleeing violence and poverty in Central America."

Heartbreaking! I want to get into my car and drive to these facilities and help. SOME how. This IS an International Humanitarian Issue- NOT IMMIGRATION. These are children, toddlers, infants- taken from the only support source they have ever known. Imagine if it was YOU. If they were YOUR relatives. What would YOU do? There are relatives in the USA who are able to take custody of these babies. Get them off concrete floors, bathe them, feed them and restore love in their lives.
