Need a Divorce? You may be able to file a no fault divorce.
A no fault divorce means you do not need to prove that your spouse did something wrong like adultery or desertion.
In order to file for a no fault divorce you will need to live separately from your spouse for:
- Six months if you do not have any children under the age of 18. You and your spouse must also have a separation agreement.
-one year if you and your spouse have any children under the age of 18 together even if you have already entered into a separation agreement.

Happy Holidays! Let the party begin. But try to celebrate responsibly. That is the advice that a reputable Virginia criminal defense attorney will give you.

4. Call a Taxi or Uber- look up phone number or download the app ahead of time before the party so when you are ready to go home, you can call/get an uber.

As drivers begin traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday, you should keep in mind that law enforcement will also be joining you on the roadways. With the combination of traffic, families in confined spaces over long distances, and navigating family get-together dynamics, you have a recipe for distracted drivers and traffic violations.

No matter where you are traveling, expect to see a greater emphasis on enforcement. Amongst other reasons, each year drivers are handed traffic tickets for violations of following too closely, speeding, and negligent driving.

Tips for you Holiday Traveling to avoid getting a ticket:

1. Put down Cell phones to avoid getting cited, and to avoid a collision with another vehicle.

2. Do not drink and drive. Plan ahead for a non-drinking driver or plan to stay at the host's house. If those are not an option, call a taxi or Uber. Driving after having a few drinks is not worth the risk of getting a DUI or colliding into another person's vehicle.

3. Slow down! Pay Attention to speed limit signs as they often change on the interstate. Set your cruise control if possible. Remember to allow space between your car and the car ahead of you.

Fall is here! The Shenandoah National Park is gorgeous, especially when the leaves begin to change. There are many people that come from other states to drive on the national park for the views and hiking/biking trails. A lot of locals go to this state park as well for the same reasons. Make sure you obey all traffic and drug laws while visiting the Shenandoah National Park. Failure to do so will land you in FEDERAL court. The Shenandoah National Park is Federal land so you will be charged on a federal level not a state level.

If you’re considering this option in Virginia, you should research the various types of divorce allowed by the Virginia Code. One of the most common types of divorce in Virginia is the no-fault divorce, which allows a couple to legally divorce after being separated for either 6 or 12 months. There are many benefits in doing a no fault divorce compared to other divorces. Ones of the requirements to obtain a Virginia no-fault divorce is a voluntary, written separation agreement.
