Let’s interact: Let’s talk about brain injuries.
If you’ve experienced a brain injury, or watched someone you love go through one, what’s the one thing you wish other people understood about it? Comment below.
Here’s the hard part: Sometimes, the person who suffered the injury doesn’t look injured.
They can walk.
They can talk.
They can laugh.
They may even seem completely fine.
But inside, everything may have changed.
Maybe they can’t concentrate like they used to.
Maybe they get overwhelmed more easily.
Maybe they forget things.
Maybe they’re exhausted all the time.
Maybe they get frustrated or emotional over things that never bothered them before.
And sometimes the hardest part is hearing:
“But you look fine.”
