After a car accident, most people assume the police report tells the whole story. It helps, but it's rarely enough on its own to build a strong claim.
What actually strengthens a car accident case is the combination of details most people don't think to collect in the moment:
✅ Photos from the scene, including vehicle positions, road conditions, traffic signals, and any visible injuries
✅ Contact information from witnesses who saw what happened
✅ Your own medical records starting from the day of the crash, showing a clear connection between the accident and your injuries
✅ Documentation of missed work, lost income, and how the injury has affected your daily routine
Insurance companies look for gaps. When there's no photo of the damage, no medical visit on day one, or no record of how the injury changed your life, those gaps become their leverage.
If you've been in a car accident and you're not sure whether what you have is enough, give Alex Mendoza Law a call. We'll review what you've collected and tell you where your case stands.
