Breaking news: The US House of Representatives has just passed the Big Cat Public Safety Act to protect big cats from private possession and cruel cub petting!

Thank you House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Majority Leader Steny Hoyer for bringing this bill to the floor, and thank you Mike Quigley and Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick for sponsoring and fighting to pass this bill into law!

Wonderful step in the right direction to eventually end testing on animals

**LEGISLATION UPDATE**

📣The Massachusetts Beagle Freedom Bill HAS JUST PASSED IN THE SENATE!! HOORAY! 🎉

As you know, our special bill requires that dogs and cats no longer needed for research purposes at institutions or product testing facilities be offered for adoption once the research ends!

Thank you to everyone that called or sent in letters and emails to help get this done! As you can see, together we can do great things! ❤️🙏❤️

****We want to add that although this is not an end to animal testing (which is our ultimate goal) this is a step towards helping our innocent animal friends have a second chance at life after the unnecessary testing is over. BREAKING: Bill to ban the sale of puppies, kittens, and rabbits in retail pet stores in New York passes!

We applaud the New York legislature for passing the puppy mill pipeline act by a vote of 133-16. We are grateful for the leadership of bill sponsors Linda B. Rosenthal and Senator Michael Gianaris. Banning the retail sale of puppies and kittens in pet stores in New York will protect countless animals as well as consumers. This was a major coalition effort, and we urge Governor Hochul to call the bill as soon as possible.👏
