The Gulfport Admirals are now football state champions for the first time in school history.

After falling behind 20-14 in the final minute of the game, quarterback Parker Nettles threw a 33-yard Hail Mary to wide receiver Mylan Stubbs to tie the game. The Admirals won after a PAT by Carter Platt, winning the state championship 21-20.
