On February 26, Bob Persante is teaching a Master Class on Cross Examination of Expert Witnesses at our next Barney Masterson Inn of Court meeting at Cove Cay Golf Club. Cross examining an expert can absolutely change the outcome of a case, and learning from someone with Bob’s depth of experience is not an opportunity that comes around often.

This is the kind of program where you walk out thinking, “I can use that on Monday.”

Social time starts at 5:30 PM and the meeting begins at 6:15 PM.

NEW FinCEN REPORTING RULE (MARCH 1, 2026)
Don’t commit a federal crime by doing what you have always done! What an incredible evening with the members of the Barney Masterson American Inn of Court! On October 23rd, we had the privilege of learning from the one and only Denis deVlaming during an interactive ethics seminar that was equal parts educational, engaging, and unforgettable.

Denis is truly a living legend in our legal community, a brilliant trial attorney, devoted mentor, and one of the founding members of our Inn. His wisdom, humor, and generosity continue to shape generations of lawyers, reminding us all why professionalism and integrity matter just as much as skill in the courtroom.

We are deeply honored to count Denis as part of the Barney Masterson legacy, and we are so grateful for his continued dedication to teaching, mentoring, and inspiring us all.

Can you believe it's already time to register for Counsel to Counsel again?! 👀 This year, the program aims to reach 800 total registrants, following two successful years of growth. Counsel to Counsel pairs Florida lawyers who have been licensed for five or more years with The Florida Bar with a mentee who has been licensed for five years or fewer.

Chief Justice Muñiz was in attendance at the second class of mentees' graduation at Annual Convention, and said that “All of us need to be brought along, and this is a great way to make it happen. I know that it is going to continue to grow and thrive, and I’m really excited about that. The court’s one hundred percent behind this.”
