Announcement 🫶
For those that don't know, I have decided to go back into private practice.
This time, I will have more freedom to tailor my practice to better fit my style and serve my clients.
I will be taking new clients asap and start appearing in Court on or around August 11th.
My office will be located in Clintwood with Brad Fleming & Brad Fleming Attorney at Law, PLLC. However, I will be taking clients in both Buchanan and Dickenson Counties (and surrounding counties) and will make accommodations to meet for consultations in Buchanan County and am toying with the idea of virtual consultations 🥰

I received my LLM & Juris Doctorate degree from the Appalachian School of Law in 2021.
I served as a paralegal for the Commonwealth Attorney's Office from 2020-2021.
I served Buchanan and the surrounding counties as a Criminal Defense and Domestic Relations Attorney for the Justice Law Office from 2021 until 2024.
I currently serve as an Assistant Attorney General for the state of Virginia representing the state and its employees in civil litigation on both the Federal and State level.

In my time as an attorney, I have practiced an immeasurable amount of cases, ranging from Criminal Defense (felony and misdemeanor) to Family Law (custody/divorce, etc.), to civil claims that fall under the VA Torts Claims Act and USC 1983 actions. While this is just a tiny excerpt of my experience, my personal involvement in different forms of cases is vast.

My goal as an attorney is the provide the best service for my clients in their most vulnerable moments, while being personable and educational in handling their legal matters.

What is a Guardian Ad Litem?

"Guardian ad litem (GAL) means “guardian for the suit.” A guardian ad litem in Virginia is an attorney appointed by a judge to assist the court in determining the circumstances of a matter before the court. It is the responsibility of the guardian ad litem to provide independent recommendations to the court about the client’s best interests, which can be different from advocating for what the client wants, and to bring balance to the decision-making process."

My work as a GAL is easily my most rewarding work as a Virginia licensed attorney. I enjoy making a difference in children's lives and knowing that I look out for their best interests, solely for their best interests. I care deeply about each and every child that I work for.

While you cannot hire a Guardian Ad Litem, you can always hire a custody attorney that fights for your children as hard as you would!
