This morning, I drove 55 minutes to arrive 15 minutes early for a 9 a.m. closing, carrying a 165-page package. Bright and early, I had carefully organized the documents, pre-filled where possible, and paper-clipped key pages: my strategy for ensuring a smooth, efficient signing. When I arrived at the signing location, I was greeted warmly by a kind gentleman, who welcomed me into his home. While on the phone with his representative, he apologetically informed me that he would not be signing because the CD figures didn’t match what his lender had originally promised. I offered a smile and expressed my regret that his experience had not turned out as he had expected.
I asked myself, What good can possibly come from this situation, and what lesson am I meant to take from it? In the midst of what the signer and I were dealing with, I received the following message below from my husband that he, too, received.
(p.s. all of this is unfolding in the middle of other challenges and obstacles I’m facing). Check out the message below 👇🏼 👇🏼👇🏼
