Bishop Bobbie James Dutton, age 69, of Griffin, passed away at his residence December 30, 2021, in the arms of his beloved wife. He was born in Griffin, and graduated from Griffin High School. James was the Facilities Manager for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for 29 years before retiring. He was a loving a devoted husband, father, papa, friend and mentor.
He was preceded in death by his parents James Wesley Dutton and Gloria Maxine Humphries Dutton.
He is survived by his wife: Debbie Bennett Dutton; their children and their spouses: Lisa Danielle Dutton; James Robert Moses & Kristen Leigh Dutton; Taylor Bennett & Rebecca Ruth Dutton; their grandchildren: Elizabeth Ann & James Benjamin Tiberius Dutton.
His siblings: Barbara Ann & Alice Jane Dutton. As well as multiple nieces and nephews.
He leaves a legacy of love of the Savior, love of his family and never ending selfless service.

Friends may visit the family on Monday, January 3, 2022, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Moody-Daniel Funeral Home, 10170 US 19, Zebulon, GA 30295.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 4, at 2:00 p.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Griffin Ward, 605 Maddox Road, Griffin, GA 30224.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Humanitarian Aid Fund which follows the admonition of Jesus Christ to feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, take in the stranger, clothe the naked and visit the sick and afflicted. Since the organization's inception in 1985, Latter-day Saint Charities has provided over $2.3 billion worth of assistance in 197 countries.
