Today feels like summer is finally going to come!

Beginning this Friday, May 30, through Labor Day, our office will have summer hours on Fridays. Our office will be open 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM Monday through Thursday and 8:30 AM - 1:00 PM on Fridays.

The South Dakota Unified Judicial System is hiring Bailiffs in Aberdeen, Faulkton, Mound City and Selby for the Fifth Judicial Circuit. These are temporary, non-benefited, on-call positions.

The primary purpose of these positions are to ensure that while supervising and attending to the needs of the jurors, no person, including the bailiff, communicates with the jurors during the course of the trial except in the manner permitted by order of the court; prepare the courtroom for jury trial; and maintain order during the trial.

A big congratulations from GGN to our neighbor Kelsea Kenzy Sutton at First Fidelity Bank for being awarded the USD Women In Law Attorney of the Year recognition in Pierre today at the South Dakota State Bar Annual Convention! Kelsea is not only a wonderful lawyer, but the biggest advocate for the Burke community and she is so deserving of the award. Many Gregory County (part and full time) lawyers were present to witness Kelsea’s award presentation today as well, displaying the strong legal tradition of Gregory County. Congratulations Kelsea!
