Our DCL trial team helped secure a historic victory for our client. A Fort Collins jury awarded $65 million in a truck crash case involving the killing of our client’s mother, Megan Arneson. It is the largest truck crash jury verdict in Colorado history. Our client was just 10 years old, and sitting in the backseat of his mother’s car, when a trucker hauling an excavator slammed into an overpass, sending a 35-pound chunk of concrete through the windshield and tragically killing Megan. Dan Caplis and John Kellner were part of the trial team that secured this record verdict. We’re grateful for the thoughtful, measured and wise verdict that was returned by this very diligent jury.
