I recently had the opportunity to join a podcast conversation about collaborative divorce — an approach to family law that focuses on problem-solving, respectful communication, and helping families move forward without unnecessary conflict.
Divorce is never easy, but the process does not always have to be adversarial. Collaborative divorce gives parties the opportunity to work together with a team of professionals to reach solutions that prioritize their family’s unique needs, goals, and long-term well-being.
In this episode, we discussed:
• What collaborative divorce actually is
• How it differs from traditional litigation
• The benefits of a more cooperative process
• Why preserving relationships and reducing conflict can be especially important when children are involved
I’m grateful for the opportunity to talk about a process I care deeply about and to help educate people about alternatives that may better support their families during difficult transitions.
