Our Story

For nearly 20 years, I have been honored to help clients through what is often the most difficult time of their lives, whether it is related to a divorce or a child custody or support dispute. My practice style is “hands-on” and I don’t take the cookie cutter approach. Instead, I prefer to work with my client to decide the most effective means of resolving the legal problem.

In 2011, I was certified as a Family Law Specialist by the NC Board of Legal Specialization. This designation requires a peer review process and successful completion of an exam similar to the bar exam but exclusively in the area of family law.

The practice area of family law includes a wide variety of legal issues such as adoption, child custody, child support, alimony, equitable distribution (marital property), military family issues, collaborative family law, domestic violence, and many others.
