A true staple of our community! After retiring from his professional football career to take care of his sick mom, Za'Darius continues to give back to his home!

Falcons Pro-Bowl DE Za'Darius Smith, who's coming off a 2-sack game in Week 1, has paid ticket, transportation, and food fees to host his entire church family at Sunday’s home opener vs. Panthers to fulfill a request from his late mother 🙏

"This weekend I'm bringing my church up. I know it's something that my mom always wanted. I got a Greyhound bus pulling up this weekend to my church to bring them up for the game, for the first game," Smith said.

"So that's gonna be big for me, man. So if y'all see them on the sidelines, just give them a couple of words and you know, ask questions about the young Z if you don't mind. But yeah, excited for that, man. I can't wait. I think we've got the tickets now, it's at 45 people. I got everybody some t-shirts and gonna feed them good. [I] got a little envelope, and I'm gonna put something nice in there for them," Smith continued.

"So, I know my mom...she's smiling down. [She's] gonna be happy for this one, man. I can't wait."

Smith's mother passed away last year after he decided to retire from the NFL to be by her side during her final days.
