❤️ Honoring Janice Smarto ❤️

Our September 24th event honoring Janice Smarto was truly a beautiful success.

We wanted this evening to reflect just how much Janice meant to so many. She was deeply loved by her family and friends, valued throughout her community, and an important part of our Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices The Preferred Realty family.

And here in our Greensburg office, Janice held an especially special place in our hearts. She was more than a Manager and Leader, she was part of our office family. Her presence, friendships, and the memories she created with us will not be forgotten.

Seeing so many people come together in her honor was a wonderful reminder of the impact one person can have on the lives of so many others. We cried we laughed and shared stories ❤️

Thank you to everyone who attended, contributed, helped make the event possible, and joined us in celebrating someone who was so very loved. All of the funds raised will be donated to the Jeannette Initiative in honor of Janice

🐾 Pet of the Week: Meet Harry! 🐾

This handsome 3-year-old tabby came to Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh (HARP) as a stray, but he's quickly made himself a favorite with staff and volunteers. And it's easy to see why!

Harry is the kind of cat who simply loves being near his people. Whether he's curled up beside you for some quality cuddle time or ready to show off his playful side, he's happiest when he's spending time with his favorite humans. His sweet personality and adorable face have made him a shelter favorite—and we think he'll make an incredible companion for the lucky person who takes him home.

Harry does have a few health considerations that his HARP care team will be happy to discuss with potential adopters, including being FIV-positive. Because of this, Harry will need to be the only cat in his home or live with another FIV-positive cat.

Harry has so much love to give, and he's ready to find the person who's been missing a sweet, affectionate feline friend. Could that be you? ❤️

🐾 Pet of the Week: Meet Cainin! 🐾

Some dogs may be considered seniors, but that doesn't mean they're slowing down on love! Meet Cainin, an 8-year-old sweetheart who's ready for a new chapter.

Cainin came to Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh (HARP) after his owner passed away. While HARP doesn’t know much about his history, they do know that this gentle guy loves meeting new people and is always happy to make a new friend. And at 8 years young, Cainin has plenty of love and companionship left to give!

He's also enjoyed spending time around other dogs in a relaxed, easygoing way. If you have a canine companion at home, a meet-and-greet can help everyone get acquainted and see if they're a good match.

Best of all, Cainin is currently in a loving foster home, where he's getting the comfort and care he deserves while waiting for his forever family.
