Retirement isn't one stage.
Why would your retirement plan treat it like one? ๐Ÿงญ

Most people plan extremely well for the first years of retirementโ€”the years when they're healthy, active and independent.

But senior life can actually unfold through four very different stages:

๐Ÿ”น Independent Retirement
๐Ÿ”น Supported Independence
๐Ÿ”น Assisted Living & Daily Care
๐Ÿ”น Full Care & Protection

And every stage brings different decisions about housing, money, caregiving, legal authority and paying for care.

Our newest article explains:
โœ… What changes during each stage
โœ… What families should be thinking about
โœ… When elder law planning becomes important
โœ… How earlier planning can create more choices later

The objective isn't simply to prepare for getting older.
It's to live well while you're doing it.

Q: "I just made a will. Am I actually done?"
Not quite.

A will doesn't touch your beneficiary designations. Those override your will completely. It doesn't fund your trust if one was created. It doesn't cover incapacity. And it doesn't update itself when your life changes.

The full checklist is in this week's article.

September 15. Your Q3 estimated tax installment is due. That's five weeks from now.

The retirement plan contribution window, the Section 179 equipment decision, the S-corp compensation review: those conversations start now. Not in December when there's no runway left.

This week's article covers the full checklist: what to do, in what order, before Q4 closes your options.

You made a will this August.

That's step one.

Here's what most families don't realize until it's too late: making a will and protecting your family are not the same thing.

This week's article is your checklist for what actually comes next.

It's rarely written down that way.

But when Mom or Dad begin needing help, adult children often become:

๐Ÿ“… The scheduler
๐Ÿš— The transportation department
๐Ÿ’ณ The bill manager
๐Ÿก The housing researcher
๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€โš•๏ธ The care coordinator
๐Ÿ“ž The family communicator

That's why Senior Life or Elder Law planning isn't just about the older adult.

It is also about protecting family relationships and reducing uncertainty for the next generation.

A strong plan gives adult children direction before everything lands in their lap.
