Through Q2 2026, Mesa County recorded 87 commercial sales, which is nearly unchanged from 88 in 2025 but down from approximately 100 in 2024. At the same time, sales volume increased from $91 million in 2024 to nearly $110 million in 2026.

Matthew Parker explains how larger transactions, newly constructed and remodeled properties, and multi-tenant retail centers are contributing to that higher volume. Permitting activity is also up 22% from 2025 and 29% from 2024.

What helped drive Mesa County’s higher commercial sales volume in Q2?

Matthew Parker highlights several notable transactions, including the newly constructed McDonald’s on Horizon Drive, the J&M Aquatics retail center, the Fidelity Mortgage office building and significant development-land sales on 23 Road and Wellington Avenue.

Together, these transactions reflect activity across retail, office and development land—and help explain the market’s 15% year-over-year increase in sales volume.
