My worker’s compensation claim has been filed, now what?
If you suffer from an injury causing you to lose more than 3 days of work, your employer’s insurance has 20 days from the date of the employer’s First Report of Injury to issue an Admission of Liability (Approval) or a Notice of Contest (Denial). If your claim is approved, you’ll be assigned an adjuster to determine your benefits.

If I'm hurt at work, how long does my employer have to file a claim?
Within 10 days of your injury, your employer should file an injury report with its insurer. This report is called the Employer's First Report of Injury, and it starts your workers' compensation claim with the insurance carrier. You may need to file a separate claim for compensation with the state to preserve your rights.
