Yesterday Mr. Potts took students from CSULA to a special court session that was set up just for them. It consisted of a chambers session with the judge, information on different types of cases and what typically goes on during the many different types of immigration cases. They learned what you have to prove in order to win your case and the elements that need to be satisfied in addition to what needs to be proven. It was a great experience both for Mr. Potts and these eccentric students.
With each new year comes many new challenges, for some its starting a new family, for others it could be a starting a business but, for these hopeful UCLA pre-law students, the journey to attorney-hood is their biggest challenge yet. They had questions about what law to pursue, which school to attend and so on. Luckily, Mr. Potts got the chance to shed personal experience and knowledge on all things legal and encouraged them to follow their passion.
Heres a quick recap of the event.
