LA Defense avoided a lengthy prison sentence for a Felony DUI with injury today by getting our client into Veteran's court. No easy task getting the prosecutor and victims on board with this disposition. But then again... that's what we do.



Veterans treatment courts target the root causes of veterans' criminal behavior. The goal of these courts is to resolve criminal cases through treatment and support. In these courts, veterans take part in a program tailored to address their needs. As part of the program, participants meet frequently with a judicial officer, other veterans, treatment providers, mentors, and support teams.

Client charged with 8 counts of forgery and perjury for submitting and transferring a forged signature on an automobiles pink slip. Offer from the Prosecutor was 2 years state prison. Case settled for 30 days labor and 2 years probation.

Client charged with Assault with a firearm, criminal threats, felon in possession of a firearm and domestic violence... The offer from the prosecutor was 6 years state prison with a strike. The case settled for 20 days of labor and no strike

It matters who represents you! Client was charged with a Felony Strike PC 245(a)(1) (for using pepper spray) and a 2nd time restraining order violation at the Lancaster, CA Courthouse. Client received 90 days jail for his prior restraining order violation (we did not represent him on this case). Clients offer was 2 years state prison for use of the pepper spray when he hired us. Case settled for a misdemeanor and 25 days of community labor.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! This is a time to reflect about all thats happened during the past year, some, have had a great year, some have had a tough time, some have gotten in Legal trouble but hired LA Defense Team and got their troubles resolved.
