When does a customer become a trespasser?
That question became a key part of an Arizona case after a woman fell outside a veterinary clinic and broke her ankle.
The property owners argued she had stepped outside the area intended for customers and that the change in elevation was open and obvious. But the Arizona Court of Appeals found the situation wasn’t so straightforward and sent the case back for further proceedings.
