Our Story

Meredith Brown ha sido activista dentro de la comunidad inmigrante desde 1988, cuando inicio como voluntaria con el Comité de Refugiados Centroamericanos de Los Ángeles, y después fue la Directora Suplente del Centro de Recursos Centroamericanos (CARECEN). Ha trabajado con varias organizaciones no lucrativas, incluyendo One Stop Immigration Center en el Este de Los Ángeles, y después, inicio su bufete legal en el año 2002. La abogada Brown ha viajado extensamente a México, Centro América y España, y habla el idioma español fluido, y también todo su personal, quienes tienen colectivamente, un total de ¡34 años de experiencia en el área de inmigración! Nuestra misión es proveerle servicios migratorios de alta calidad a precios cómodos para ayudar a las familias a permanecer unidas y fortalecer nuestra comunidad. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Meredith Brown has been an activist within the immigrant community since 1988, when she began as a volunteer with the Central American Refugee Committee of Los Angeles, later to become the Assistant Director of the Central American Resource Center (CARECEN). She has worked with various non-profits, including One Stop Immigration Center in East Los Angeles, and later, she began her own practice as of 2002. Attorney Brown has traveled extensively to Mexico, Central America and Spain, and she speaks fluent Spanish, as does all of her staff, who have a collective 34 years of experience in the immigration field! Attorney Brown earned her BA in psychology at Occidental College, Los Angeles, CA, and has studied abroad at both the University of Sussex, and Cambridge University, England. She received her JD at Loyola Law School, and is admitted to the California State Bar, the California Central District Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Attorney Brown not only participates in, but plans Continuing Legal Education programs for the Los Angeles County Bar Association's Immigration Section. Attorney Brown has been practicing immigration law since 1997, is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar's Immigration Section, and a former board member of the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles (CHIRLA). She is actively involved in many local and national organizations, including the Mexican-American Bar Association (MABA), the National Lawyer's Guild, the American Immigration Lawyer's Association (AILA) and she is a volunteer with the Central American Resource Center (CARECEN). Attorney Brown also does commentary for the local and national media on immigration issues. While Attorney Brown focuses on immigration cases, she has a strong network of affordable and high-quality attorneys in the areas of family, civil, and criminal law.
