But here's what the headline leaves out.

Equity is also near an all-time high. And at $34.1 trillion, it's more than double the $14.4 trillion in debt.

That's a good thing. It means most homeowners own far more than they owe. So, they have a real financial cushion right now.

That’s something homeowners didn’t have during the crash of 2008. Back then, people owed more than their homes were worth. Today, it’s just the opposite.

Homeowners are in a much better position, and the housing market is on stronger footing than the headlines suggest.

CLOSED at 129 Meadowview Way in Georgetown! 🎉

Huge congratulations to my sellers on getting this one across the finish line and officially making the move to Charleston, SC — which, by the way, is an elite relocation choice and I’m not jealous at all… 😂

This transaction had all the usual ingredients:✔️ Professional marketing✔️ Listing strategy✔️ Showings✔️ Negotiations✔️ Patience

…but this one also included something new for me… apparently there’s a tradition where you bury a small St. Joseph statue next to the for sale sign to help the house sell. The seller brought it to my attention and was all for the superstition if that’s what it takes to get it sold! 🤣

As a real estate agent, I usually stick to market data and marketing plans… but after this one closed, I’m not saying I’m adding “mini saint burial services” to my listing package… I’m just saying the scoreboard says 1 for 1. 😂

Seriously though, I’m thankful for amazing clients who trusted me throughout the process, and I’m excited to see them start this next chapter in Charleston. Wishing them nothing but the best on their new adventure!
