Meet Our Attorneys: Sydney Best, Attorney at Law ⚖️

Sydney Best is the newest attorney to join Best Law Center—and she’s bringing fresh energy, sharp focus, and a lifelong passion for justice to the team. A proud graduate of The Ohio State University, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus in Finance before going on to receive her law degree from Capital University in 2024.

Though new to practicing law, Mrs. Best is no stranger to the firm—she’s been part of the Best Law Center family since high school. Now returning as an attorney, she’s eager to make her mark and build strong, lasting relationships with her clients. Her philosophy is simple: “Be straightforward, honest, and transparent with every client,” and “educate clients on the legal process—because knowledge is power.”

Originally from Rockwall, Texas, Mrs. Best now enjoys the pace of city life with her husband. She is a proud member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association.

Fun Fact: When she’s not in the office, Mrs. Best loves to travel and discover new experiences. Her favorite adventure so far? Exploring the Amazon Rainforest.

Meet Our Attorneys: Matthew Masek, Attorney at Law⚖️

We’re excited to introduce Mr. Matthew Masek, a dedicated attorney who has been a valuable member of Best Law Center for almost 7 years!

After earning his BBA in Finance from UNT, Mr. Masek went on to graduate from Texas A&M Law School, bringing his passion for justice to our team in 2018. His journey to law, however, began long before that.

Prior to his legal career, Mr. Masek served as a medevac medic in the U.S. Air Force for 15 years, achieving the rank of E7 Master Sergeant and earning two Air Medals for his courageous service in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Mr. Masek’s professional excellence is reflected in his affiliations and accolades:

Meet Our Attorneys: Mr. Patrick Watson, Attorney at Law⚖️

We’re excited to introduce one of our seasoned attorneys, Mr. Patrick Watson, who has been a cornerstone of Best Law Firm for over 28 years!

Graduating from the University of Texas School of Law in 1996, Mr. Watson quickly became a leader in personal injury and trial law, earning his board certification in 2007. His extensive experience includes handling and settling numerous multimillion-dollar claims, as well as fighting for the little guy in cases that may be smaller but just as important.

Why has Mr. Watson stayed with Best Law Firm all these years? It’s simple: our commitment to putting more money in our clients’ pockets than ours, and the supportive, family-like environment we’ve cultivated here.

With a commitment to “aggressive advocacy,” Mr. Watson ensures that every client gets the strong representation they deserve. When he’s not in the office, he enjoys time with his two sons—one at Texas A&M and the other at the University of Arkansas. Fun fact: Mr. Watson was born in Hawaii! 🌺

Meet Our Attorney: Clint Gilbert ⚖️

With 15 years at Best Law Center, Clint Gilbert brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his clients. A graduate of SMU Law School (Class of 2003), Mr. Gilbert’s legal journey began in criminal defense before transitioning into corporate litigation—ultimately finding his passion in personal injury law.

Recognized for his expertise, Mr. Gilbert was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star in both 2010 and 2012. His approach? Brutal honesty and unwavering commitment—he’ll take on any case, fighting for the justice his clients deserve.

Born and raised in Dallas, Mr. Gilbert is a devoted father of two. Outside the courtroom, he channels his creativity into his independent comic label, Hold Fast Comics, and enjoys refurbishing vintage pinball machines.

Since opening Best Law Center in 1990, Mr. Best has relied solely on referrals—so you won’t see any advertisements. His philosophy is simple: “The client comes first.” Happy clients return, and that’s what matters.

Mr. Best earned his law degree from SMU Law School, graduating in 1986.

Fun Fact: Outside the office, Mr. Best is an avid world traveler and a dedicated family man. With three children, a French Bulldog, and a chubby cat, life is never dull—at home or at work!
