Michael Cardello III, Managing Partner, and Leslie Berkoff, Partner and Chair of the Firm’s Dispute Resolution Practice, will participate in the Academy of Court-Appointed Neutrals’ (ACAN) Second Annual Symposium on Court-Appointed Neutral Ethics on October 20 at New York Law School.

Michael will serve as Master of Ceremonies, guiding discussions on the ethical responsibilities and evolving role of court-appointed neutrals. Leslie will join a distinguished panel exploring the ethical implications of artificial intelligence in dispute resolution.

Hosted in partnership with New York Law School, the symposium will bring together leading professionals to address emerging ethical challenges in the field.

It was a meaningful opportunity to come together for a cause that touches so many lives.

Proceeds from the event benefit Sharsheret and other community outreach programs that raise breast cancer awareness, emphasize the importance of early detection, and provide support and resources to those in our local community.

We are pleased to share that Gary Rosner and Leslie Berkoff, Partners of the firm, will be speaking at the American Bar Association’s Advanced Mediation & Advocacy Skills Institute on October 21–22.

The Institute brings together leading practitioners and experts to explore developments, strategies, and innovations in mediation and advocacy.

Gary will facilitate the General Track discussion “Why People Make Bad Decisions,” exploring the behavioral and decision-making dynamics that can shape negotiations, mediation, and advocacy.

Leslie will speak on “Complex Commercial Litigation, Cross-Border Disputes, and Insolvency Mediation,” examining strategies for navigating high-stakes commercial and insolvency disputes, including cross-border challenges and restructuring considerations. On October 22, she will also speak on “AI and Technology in Mediation: Tools and Best Practices,” exploring how emerging technologies are transforming mediation practice, along with practical applications and key ethical considerations.
