Partners Ellen G. Makofsky and Lisa R. Valente recently attended the New York State Bar Association’s ( ) Elder Law & Special Needs Section Summer 2026 Meeting in Newport, Rhode Island.

Managing Partner Lisa R. Valente served as a Co-Chair and Presenter at the meeting, where she brought a fun and engaging twist to elder law with an elder law-themed Jeopardy presentation. ⚖️🎤

The annual meeting brought together elder law and special needs practitioners for several days of continuing legal education, professional networking, and the opportunity to exchange ideas on important issues affecting the field.
