Last night, Partners Ellen G. Makofsky and Lisa Ramalhete Valente had the honor of attending the inauguration and swearing-in of Taa Grays as the 129th President of the New York State Bar Association .

It was a historic and inspiring evening, highlighted by the installation of the NYSBA’s first Black female President. The program featured powerful remarks from President Grays and other distinguished speakers, all emphasizing the importance of the Association’s three core pillars: advancing the professional success of its members, expanding access to justice for all, and upholding the rule of law.
