Courts do not automatically recognize Islamic inheritance rules. While our faith provides clear shares for heirs, state laws follow a completely different default structure, and it is not enough to simply state you want your assets to be distributed “according to Islam.” ⚖️

To be honored, an Islamic will must meet strict state formalities:
✅ Valid signatures
✅ Proper witnesses
✅ Clear instructions about distribution with no conflicting documents

If a will fails these requirements, the court applies default intestacy rules, meaning your Islamic shares will not be recognized. Your intentions deserve to be protected in both systems: faith and law.

Let’s build a plan that honors your values and has legal integrity.

Most couples prepare for the wedding.
Very few prepare for what happens after.
A prenup or postnup isn’t about expecting failure. It’s about clarity, protection, and honoring each other’s rights before emotions get involved.

In our community, marriage is not just legal. It’s spiritual. But too often, the contracts we rely on don’t reflect that.

This conversation is about changing that.
We’re breaking down:
• What Islamic principles actually require in marriage agreements
• Where standard contracts fall short for Muslims
• How to structure agreements that protect both parties with integrity.

Trust in Allah. But don’t ignore the tools He gave you.

A must-attend for all parents!!

A guardianship designation is one of the most important decisions you will ever make as a parent..and most parents have not even thought about it let alone put it in place.

It answers the question no one wants to sit with: “Who is raising my children if I’m not here?”

But here’s what people don’t understand: Naming a guardian in your will is not the end of the conversation. It’s the starting point.

That person is not automatically handed your children. There is still a court process where a judge formally appoints a guardian. And in the meantime? Your child is in transition.

Most parents don’t think through the real-life logistics:
• Who steps in immediately if something happens tonight?
• Does your chosen guardian live nearby?
• Can they take on your child financially and emotionally?
• Do your parenting values actually align?
• Have you even had this conversation with them?

This isn’t just a legal checkbox. This is your child’s stability, routine, and sense of safety.

In this webinar, we break down:
• Why a guardianship designation is essential
• What it actually does (and what it doesn’t)
• How the court process works
• And how to build a plan that functions in real life, not just on paper

Because choosing a name is easy. Thinking through your child’s life without you? That’s the part that requires real planning.

Most estate plans? We’re using revocable trusts.

They give you control. They avoid probate. They keep things simple while you’re alive.

But then there’s the question I always get: “Should I have an irrevocable trust?”

Short answer: not unless there’s a real reason.
We typically only use irrevocable trusts in three situations:

• Asset protection — when there’s real exposure to liability
• Tax planning — when the estate is large enough for tax strategy to matter
• Long-term care planning — when you’re planning ahead for Medicaid (or special needs children)

Irrevocable trusts are not “better.” They’re more restrictive. You’re giving up control, so it has to be worth it.

For most people, a well-structured revocable trust does exactly what they need. The goal isn’t to sound sophisticated. It’s to build a plan that actually fits your life

Once someone passes away… there are no corrections. No do-overs. No clarifications. No “that’s not what they meant.”

What you set up now is exactly what your family will be left to deal with—legally and financially.
This is why estate planning is high stakes, particularly when it comes to tax planning strategies.

In my webinar with I highlighted my best advise to those who already have an estate plan: meet with someone like Ahad to understand the tax implications of what you have in place.

If your plan isn’t clear, coordinated, and structured properly… it will cost your family more than money.

Everyone on social media is obsessed with trusts right now… but here’s the truth:
Irrevocable trusts are not a one-size-fits-all solution.

Yes, they can be powerful. Asset protection. Tax strategy. Long-term preservation. But they also come with a real trade-off… you’re giving up control. And if you use them in the wrong situation, you can lock yourself into something that doesn’t actually serve you or your family.

That’s why I always say: they have a place, but it’s a limited one.

A strong estate plan isn’t about throwing every tool into the mix. It’s about knowing exactly when something makes sense and when it doesn’t.

If you want to understand how to actually structure your estate the right way, including when (and if) an irrevocable trust should even be part of the conversation…

Join me at the Before You Go Seminar. We’re breaking this down in a way that’s practical, strategic, and rooted in both legal and Islamic considerations. And yes, you’ll get a handout so you can actually apply what you learn.

You’re preparing to leave for one of the most sacred journeys of your life. But preparation isn’t just what you pack.

Before you go, there are amanahs that need to be addressed, documents that should be in place, and responsibilities that shouldn’t be left uncertain.

This seminar walks you through exactly what that looks like, both legally and Islamically.
So you can focus on your ibadah, not what you may have left undone.
