Tomorrow is the day the County Commission will vote to fill the vacancy left by the honorable Judge Carter. We're still trying to get as many people to contact their Commissioners as possible, as well as to sign our petition. We are only 25 signatures away from our goal, so share it with your friends, family, and colleagues!

Be sure to come out to the public meeting tomorrow, 8/15 at the County Admin Building at 7PM to tell the Commission to VOTE YES on Templeton.

I am astounded by the unprecedented support for our campaign. Together, we earned the trust of 5,700 voters without any kind of partisan support. We accomplished so much while facing tremendous odds. Our campaign has and will remain Independent.

While we did not win outright in this election, WE STILL HAVE A CHANCE. We still have a chance to have a Judge who is Impartial, Experienced, and Independent. Someone who is Community Conscious on the Court. Someone who has Unmatched Experience on the Court. Someone who Defends our Youth on the Court.

The County Commission is voting in JUST TEN DAYS on August 15th to decide who will serve in place of my good friend, and dearly missed, Judge Mike Carter. He asked me to fill his position as Special Judge numerous times for the last 3+ years because he saw I could execute the law honestly, impartially, and fairly. Judge Carter is someone I deeply respect, and someone who I had the honor and privilege of serving in place of. I want to honor his legacy by continuing to do the job he saw I was well-equipped for.

Our campaign pushes forward for the next 10 days. I, like our sitting Judges who ask me to serve as Special Judge, know I am a hard-working, competent, and qualified candidate for Judge to fill the Honorable Judge Mike Carter’s seat.

Tyler understands the raging opioid epidemic better than anyone. Sitting as Judge and representing many clients effected by it, as well as his extensive work with Recovery Court, he has seen firsthand the devastation it can cause. As Judge, he will take a firm approach to curbing its impact on our community and helping anyone who seeks recovery.
