We’re honored to share that Shane Lazenby has once again been named a Georgia Super Lawyer — marking his 11th consecutive year receiving this distinction.

Each year, no more than 5% of attorneys statewide are selected through Super Lawyers’ rigorous, research-driven process evaluating professional achievement and peer recognition. Shane’s continued presence on this list reflects the trust he has earned from both clients and fellow attorneys throughout his career.

Please join us in congratulating Shane on this achievement!

As the incoming President of the Rotary Club of Gainesville for 2026–27, Shane Lazenby had the privilege of hosting this year’s Annual Banquet — an evening celebrating service, fellowship, and the remarkable individuals named this year’s Man and Woman of the Year, Cathy Drerup and Glennis Barnes.

Inspired by a Hawaiian theme and Rotary’s message of “Ho’okahi no ka pono” or “Unite for Good”, the night reflected the heart of our community: coming together to serve others.

Lazenby Law Group is proud of the Rotary Club’s enduring impact across Gainesville and Hall County. We look forward to seeing Shane’s leadership in the year ahead!

🇺🇸 Today, we pause to honor those who’ve served our nation with courage, discipline, and sacrifice.

The freedoms we enjoy—and the justice we pursue every day—exist because of the men and women who were willing to serve something greater than themselves.

From all of us at Lazenby Law Group, thank you to every veteran and military family for your service, your strength, and your sacrifice. We honor you today and every day.

Just a friendly reminder how this gubernatorial administration at the last legislative session sought to shove governmental mandates down the throats of citizens while stripping away Constitutional rights....just to get paid. Don't they boast limited government and "conservative values?"

This article is in no way surprising to anyone who tries injury cases. Again, it was never about "lawsuit abuse," that was just a low-hanging-fruit talking point. Senators and reps were duped and they never even knew it. The saddest part (and most conniving political movement) is that the horrific impact and ramifications of stripping Georgia citizens of Constitutional rights won't even be fully felt until long after Kemp leaves office. Indeed, most folks who read this article, and even the folks who shamefully voted for it, have no idea how bad this legislation was and the citizens won't know as it is far too late.

This week, the Northeast Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, led by our own Shane Lazenby as president, hosted a continuing legal education program.

Shane presented “Tractor Trailers – More Than Just A Big Collision,” offering insights into the complexities of trucking accident cases. The event also featured a judges’ panel, adding valuable perspective for trial lawyers across our region.

At Lazenby Law Group, we’re proud to help advance the practice of trial law in Northeast Georgia—equipping attorneys to better serve clients in and out of the courtroom.

We’re standing up for ethics in the personal injury legal profession and calling out what we believe is a growing criminal enterprise in Georgia. Shane Lazenby and Cook Law Group recently argued before the Georgia Court of Appeals in a case that aims to stop unlawful attorney solicitation, also known as “case running.”

Read more about why this case matters—for our clients, our profession, and the justice system as a whole.

☀️ This summer, we’re happy to have two special interns with the Lazenby Law Group team—Shane’s children, Jackson and Allie!

Jackson Lazenby recently graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.A. in Political Science and is now a rising 2nd year law student at Mercer University School of Law. Before transferring to UGA, he ran cross country at Young Harris College as an NCAA Division II athlete.

Allie Lazenby is heading into her junior year at Ole Miss, where she’s majoring in Integrated Marketing Communications. When she’s not studying, she loves trying new recipes and hopes to own a bakery one day.

We are excited to have them on board this summer and are already appreciating the unique strengths each of them brings!

Just days after Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp signed tort reform legislation into law, a Dougherty County jury returned a $70 million verdict against a trio of physicians whose alleged negligence resulted in the double amputation of a patient's legs.
