Caitlin Burke, Esq. created the Youth Equity Project, Inc. (YEP) for Burke Law’s social purpose mission of juvenile justice. YEP is a federally recognized 501(c)3 organization executing a pilot program at Alachua Academy, a female youth commitment program in connection with the Department of Juvenile Justice.
The organizations’ founder, Caitlin Burke, Esq. worked at the Department of Children and Families for 4 years before opening Burke Law. Committed to welfare and equity, Burke created YEP and donates revenue from services rendered at Burke Law. It is our united vision that youth sentenced to commitment programs throughout Florida have resources and services adequate to meet their individual needs and reduce recidivism. Partnering with other nonprofit, for-profit, and governmental entities, YEP aims to create equity amongst marginalized demographics. Burke Law is legally committed by operating agreement to Youth Equity Project, Inc. and is a law firm dedicated to creating social justice.
