Not everyone has a clear idea of their life’s passion from a young age, but Leland was drawn to real estate while still in middle school. His neighbor was his first real estate mentor, and when she took him to work at age 13, he saw that this career would allow him to help people make one of the biggest decisions of their lives. He started working in the industry at age 18 and, over the years, has had the opportunity to hone his skills and pursue education in a variety of areas. Leland has been a licensed broker since 2000 and obtained his NMLS mortgage license, which gives him insights into mortgage lending and extra training. All this combines to give his clients superior experiences as they achieve their real estate goals. Leland has helped hundreds of residential and commercial clients navigate the northern Orange County market. As a former mayor of Fullerton and member of the City Council, he knows the city intimately and can help people find the area that matches their needs. Leland works with people at all stages of their real estate path, whether buyers, sellers, or investors, but finds special pride in helping seniors sell their homes as they transition to a new stage of life. Leland’s belief in being a good citizen means he’s served on numerous committees and boards, including the Fullerton Chamber of Commerce, where he earned the title of “Mr.Fullerton” for his dedication to the community; the Parks and Recreation Commission; the Planning Commission; and the Fullerton Historic Theater Foundation, to which he dedicated 14 years of service, 11 of those as president, bringing in over $11 million in renovations. His greatest joy in life has been serving as a father figure to his niece, Emily, who lost her father in 2005.
