Today Crystal's case was remanded back to the 2nd Court of Appeals. The Court of Criminal Appeals ruled that the 2nd Court of Appeals misinterpreted Texas law.

Not long after she moved into a small town south of Fort Worth in 2008, Crystal Mason's neighbors affixed padlocks to her water meter and brandished guns at her kids. In 2018, two of them served as star witnesses in her trial for illegal voting.
