State IDs in California for ALL!

Undocumented Californians will be able to obtain a State ID, a critical step for inclusion and meaningful participation in our communities and economy.

Street vendors can more easily get local health permits, supporting better economic inclusion and opportunity.

Immigrant students will have improved access to in-state tuition at public colleges and universities, and to ESL courses at community colleges. Additionally, immigrant student borrowers will have more options to finance their college educations.

Provides low-income Californians, regardless of their immigration status, eligibility for legal assistance in civil matters affecting basic human needs.

Access to community health workers and promoters who can facilitate and provide culturally and linguistically responsive care.

Cal/OSHA postings will be provided in various languages to protect workers and support safe workplaces.

An alternate plea scheme will be created for defendants charged with drug offenses, which mitigates particular harm for noncitizen Californians.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced the designation of Ukraine for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for 18 months.

1) In recently reported cases, the US Department of State has been expediting visa requests for Ukrainians with US family members.

2) If you are in the United States, consider extending your visa or applying for asylum whether you are here with valid or expired visa.

3) Ukrainians outside of Ukraine should seek out any available non-profit agency, embassy/consulate, or a UN worker to register as a refugee with UNHCR, the UN's Refugee Agency.

4) The European Union is working on a 3-year visa-free option for Ukrainians.

4) Germany and Austria are offering free train rides for Ukrainians in Poland.

A judge temporarily ordered that the public charge rule DOES NOT go into effect on October 15, next Tuesday. But it could still become the policy later. The time is NOW to file for residency if you qualify before any further changes. Do not delay!

Federal Judge rules immigration must continue for now Temporary Protected Status (TPS) and work permits for El Salvador, Nicaragua, Haiti, and Sudan! El juez federal dice que la migra tiene que continuar TPS por ahora y los permisos de trabajo para los de El Salvador, Nicaragua, Haiti, y Sudan!

Hundreds of thousands of immigrants who feared they could soon be facing deportation got a reprieve Wednesday, when a federal judge in California temporarily blocked the administration from ending Temporary Protected Status for immigrants from El Salvador, Haiti, Sudan and Nicaragua.
