In May of 2023, a drunk driver t-boned an off-duty law enforcement officer and caused certain injuries which compromised his ability to work. After rejecting a low-ball offer from the insurance company, the police officer retained Brandon Lee Law. Today, we settled his case for an above policy limits offer nearly 900% larger than the insurance company’s original offer.

This is maximizing client value. I’ve been seeing advertisements lately about AI-assisted insurance claims. I’m suspicious of AI’s ability to deliver these results. The best pre-litigation offer we received was only a 148% increase and I don’t think AI knows how to draft a complaint, draft discovery, and make calculated, strategic 998 offers. That is what was required to make this plaintiff whole.

Visalia, CA - Brandon Lee Law secures the dismissal of charges for a client arrested for gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.

This case has been a wild one. But after a completely mishandled investigation by the California Highway Patrol, the Tulare County District Attorney dismisses the case against Mr. Lee’s client.

The client was accused of running a red light while under the influence of ma*****na. After nearly a year of investigation, Mr. Lee showed that his client was not under the influence of ma*****na, and material exculpatory evidence was buried by the California Highway Patrol.

An excellent result. On the face of the arrest, Mr. Lee’s client was exposed to 10 years in state prison. After substantial investigation, Mr. Lee’s client walks and takes his life back. The real tragedy is law enforcement tunnel vision. Because of the statute of limitations, the victim’s family will never receive justice.

Earned Dismissal - On February 28, 2025, Brandon Lee Law negotiated an agreement whereby his client, accused of felony domestic violence charges, shall be entitled to dismissal upon 6 months of compliance with a protective order and anger management classes.

This agreement was on a “pre-plea” basis, meaning Mr. Lee’s client was not required to enter any guilty plea for the opportunity to earn a dismissal.

After a 5-day jury trial, Mr. Lee secures an acquittal of his client accused of violating Penal Code, section 273.5 - “Inflicting corporal punishment upon a spouse causing a traumatic condition.”

In June of 2023, officers from the Brentwood Police Department responded to a residence and found a woman with visible scrapes and bruises. She claimed to have been dragged by her hair by her husband. After substantial cross-examination and witness impeachment, the jurors reasonably doubted the People’s case and found the husband Not Guilty.

The jury hung 6-6 as to lesser-included offenses of misdemeanor battery upon a spouse without causing injury (Pen. Code, § 243(e)(1)) and simple assault (Pen. Code, § 241).

The District Attorney dismissed a complaint for larceny against Mr. Lee’s client today in Fresno County Superior Court.

This was a bizarre case. Mr. Lee’s client was at work when an Amazon driver mistakenly delivered a package to his doorstep. The package was intended for Mr. Lee’s client’s neighbor who has a history of harassing Mr. Lee’s client with lawfare and baseless police/CPS calls. That neighbor took this as an opportunity to pursue criminal charges. Astoundingly, the Clovis Police Department actually pursued the case and somehow the District Attorney prosecuted it despite having exactly zero evidence of “asportation.” Nonetheless, the case closed today with the DA dismissing the charges against Mr. Lee’s client with prejudice.

In Riverside County Superior Court, Mr. Lee defended a military service member from a former spouse in a unique legal issue. The former spouse sought equitable relief in the form of a post-judgment transmutation of a property division award into permanent spousal support. Mr. Lee presented a three-layer argument: (1) the case was not sufficiently ripe to be a justiciable case or controversy; (2) the equitable relief sought was beyond the court’s power; and (3) federal law intended to occupy the zone with respect to military pensions pre-empted California’s community property scheme by way of the Supremacy Clause.

The court ruled in favor of Mr. Lee’s client and denied the former spouses’s request for relief.

Today in California Superior Court for Madera County, Brandon Lee Law successfully defended a client falsely accused of sexual assault in a cross-border dispute. Brandon Lee demurred Plaintiff’s complaint on jurisdictional grounds, arguing that the presumption against extraterritoriality precluded the court from exercising jurisdiction over alleged conduct occurring exclusively in Canada. The court sustained Brandon Lee’s demurrer and dismissed the complaint with no leave to amend.
